Yorke and Eyre Peninsula

An area once dedicated to wheat, and wool, this region is very new to wine production with first plantings in the 1980’s. Warm and dry, with maritime influences from the Spencer Gulf, it produces quality Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz and Merlot grapes for its emerging labels and for the wineries of the neighbouring regions.
