Set in 8 hectares of tree-studded, lawned grounds, the museum offers tours and groups a number of facilities. The museum grounds are the ideal location for many outdoor functions, including concerts and special events such as car club events, product launches, large or small.

An indoor barbecue facility, free barbecues, extensive grounds, playground, conference room and equipment for hire are also available.
A delightfully different venue for your next event or group function is just under an hour’s drive from Adelaide.

you dont have to be an enthusiast to appreciate Australia’s biggest motoring collection of 300 vintage, veteran, post war, classic and modern cars, commercial vehicles and 100 motorcycles.

Walk through the contemporary pavilions and constantly changing exhibition spaces, including the holden pavilion of Australian Motoring and encounter the stories, people and vehicles that have shaped our motoring history through the decades. From the early imports of the 1920’s – 30’s to the rise of Australian manufacturing from the 40’s-50’s, sleek designs of the 60’s, muscle cars of the 70’s to the latest in modern engineering and high performance racing.

See famous and little known vehicles such as the 1869 steam-powered Shearer, the oldest Australian built vehicle still running, the legendary Leyland Brothers, Land Rover, a 1922 electric powered car designed for female drivers, and Tom Kruse’s Birdsville Track mail delivery truck, to name just a few.

Appreciate how motor vehicles helped to open up our country, linking some of the most isolated communities and cities in the world, Be amazed by the Talbot, the first car to cross the continent in 1908. What an incredible journey!
