Located 60kms east of Adelaide and sister to Adelaide Zoo, Monarto is a new concept combining an open-range zoo with a natural wilderness sanctuary that plays a vital role in breeding programs for threatened species. Safari tours depart regularly and drive through habitats to view cheetah, giraffe, lions, Southern White rhinoceros, meerkats and much more. View free-ranging kangaroos and emus on self guided walking tracks, come face to face with Africa’s most spectacular animals through easily accessible viewing platforms or for the more adventurous ask about Monarto’s behind the scenes program.
