A low incidence of pests and diseases means ‘Ulithorne’ is managed without any pesticides and only organically registered sulphur and copper sprays to prevent fungal disease. They make their own compost for organic fertiliser and intend to design an under- vine ‘weed slasher’ so full conversion to organics can be achieved. Irrigation is only applied mid summer as a supplement so the vines do not over-stress.

Angas Plains Wines

Angas Plains Wines

Phillip & Judy share the daily management of the property. Established in 1994 Langhorne Creek on our 100 acre property.

Planting a block each year between 1994 and 2001 to 34 acres of Shiraz, 25.5 acres of Cabernet Sauvignon, and 2 acres of Chardonnay all on single trellis.

The vineyard is on the old flood plains of the Angas River. This seasonally flowing river flows after heavy rains from its catchment area of the Adelaide Hills thru the historical township of Strathalbyn to our Langhorne Creek wine region and out to Lake Alexandrina.

Kersbrook Hill Wines

The best way to explain the vision we have for Kersbrook Hill Wines is through our motto “Quality, Imagination, Style”.
We aim to produce wines of the highest possible quality, in a style that is truly distinctive and provides both connoisseur and the everyday drinker with an experience to remember.
In order to achieve this we have limited the vineyards fruit production to a maximum of 3 tonnes per acre, (less than half a ton in the case of “Dons Acre”). This results in fruit with amazing flavors and levels of intensity producing wine that fits our vision.
